What do you like most about engineering? Engineering involves lots of teamwork. I like working as a team where
everyone gets to contribute their own expertise in order to achieve one ultimate goal.
Why do you think engineers are important? I think engineers are important because they help makes peoples' every
day lives easier and safer.
What kind of engineering do you do at work? I work at the local utility company. I design structures, foundations
for the structures, retaining walls, driveways and drainage systems. I also develop permits that are required for
construction that makes sure the construction is executed in a manner that is safe for the environment.
What were your favorite subjects in school? I really liked math. Although I wasn't very good with math at first,
I never gave up trying to learn it. Eventually I got to the point where I learned to appreciate it, and then learning
it became natural to me.
